Spring is in the air

springbordersWe are so happy to feel a bit of warmth in the air. Children outside playing is the best sound of all. Being able to go outside without all the snow gear is such a wonderful thing. We can’t really complain about this winter in the snow department, but we’re so happy that the sun is out and the children get to go outside so much.

We currently have openings in some of our classes for the 2019-2020 school year. Please give us a call at 603-882-1041 to schedule a tour. I would be happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have.

The children started their music classes with Miss Kim today and they had a glorious time. She is wonderful with the children and they all seemed so happy after their classes. We look forward to her weekly visits for the remainder of the year.

Speaking of which, how could this year be almost over? Every year goes by faster and faster and it is hard for us to let go of all the little ones we have grown so fond of. We form such loving bonds with our families and then they are off to the next step in their education.

April proves to be a short, although jammed packed month. Our 4 year olds will concentrate on the author of the month, Lois Ehlert. Her illustrations are masterful and done by tearing colorful paper which make her pictures come alive. Some of her books include Waiting for Wings, Growing Vegetable Soup and Planting a Rainbow. The children planted vegetable seeds today and will watch the progress of seed to plant. They will also be cooking vegetable soup on Friday to eat for snack. Our 3 year old classes will be discussing pets this month. They will learn about Dogs, Cats, Bunnies and Guinea Pigs. Their dramatic play area will be transformed into a Pet Store and a Vets office.  They also conducted an experiment yesterday that included putting marshmallow bunnies in various liquids to see what would happen to them. Would they dissolve, would they stay the same, would they change color? There was lots of predicting going on. Our little ones, our 2 year olds will be learning about Mary Had a Little Lamb and Baa Baa Black Sheep. They will be creating sheep with paint, shaving cream and glue mixed together, to make an interesting texture. They will also be learning about birds and will build nests with various materials collected outside.

So all in all we will be having an exciting month. We wish you all a very Happy Spring filled with warm weather and sunshine.

Warm regards,

Chris
