Hello to all of our families,

Well I hope that you all are doing ok after yesterday’s storm. This has been an interesting winter, to say the least.

Wacky Wednesday was a huge success with lots and lots of crazy hairdo’s. The children really enjoyed seeing each other and the teacher’s hair so wacky.

I am writing to you to make sure you are aware of various events going on in the classrooms and also things that are going on for families this month. We have a fun month planned and the following are dates to remember:

• Thursday March 15 Parent Teacher conferences for MIss Meghan & Miss Catherine’s 3 year olds. Sign up genius has gone out to all of you to sign up for times that are convenient for you. If you did not receive this, please let Meghan know so that you can sign up. School will be in session on this day and Mrs. Murphy and Miss Rachael will be subbing in Miss Meghan/Miss Catherine’s room.
• Monday 3/19-Friday 3/23 we will be hosting a Scholastic Book fair. Nothing better than new books to read. These books are quality books with fair prices and 1/2 of the sale proceeds are distributed among the teachers to purchase books for the classrooms. Mrs. Coumas and I will be at the bookfair in the mornings at drop off, if that is a good time for you and your child to make a purchase. We will be open all during Open House on Thursday evening for families to attend also.
• Thursday 3/22 from 6:00-7:30pm will be our Spring Open House. Drop by any time between 6 and 7:30 to browse in the classrooms to see the children’s artwork and talk with teachers, myself and other families. Children are invited to come along and can be comfy wearing their pj’s. We will be having a scavenger hunt that will wind around the building going from the classrooms, to the book fair, to a cozy area to read books and then ending in our hall for refreshments. This will be such a fun night. Hope to see everyone there. The whole family is invited.
• Wednesday 3/21 will be Beach Day for our 4 year old students. The classrooms will be transformed into the “beach” and the children will be making their own sand cups for snack. The children can wear beach gear and bring in beach towels if they would like.
• Friday 3/23 will be Parent Teacher conferences for all classes except for Miss Meghan/Miss Catherine’s 3’s. Sign up genius has also been emailed to you for sign up times. If you did not receive this, please get in touch with your child’s teacher to sign up for a conference. School will not be session on this day, as all teachers will be busy with conferences. This is an adult only time, however if you are bringing your children Mrs. Kupchik and MIss Chrissy will be available to watch your children. All conferences will take place in your child’s classroom except for Miss Meghan & Miss Catherine’s 4’s. They will take place in a conference room on the main floor of the building. As you come into the building from the parking lot take a left and the conferences will take place in room 6 which is the first room on the right.
• Monday 3/26 will be PJ day for Mrs. Murphy’s class. Have your child come in wearing their PJ’s and lots of fun will be had having a PJ party.
• Wednesday 3/28 will be PJ Party day for our 4 year old and Pre K students
• Thursday 3/29 will be PJ party day for Miss Meghan and Miss Catherine’s 3 year olds.

This as always, promises to be a wonderful time to be at CWG-WWS. Have a great March and hopefully Mother Nature is a little kinder to us all.
