Hello to all of our CWG-WWS families,
Well that was certainly an interesting month, weather wise, in October. We hope that you all have power restored to your homes. I guess one saving grace is that it wasn’t snow.
As you can see from reading the November newsletter, we have a very busy month planned. This morning we had the pleasure of having two of our Dads, Joe Rousseau and Brent Osborn come in to talk to the children, to go along with our Community Heroes theme. Joe is a Nashua Police Officer and Brent is a Veteran who served in Iraq and Korea. Thank you both for such a wonderful presentation. We want the children to learn that there are such great people in our community who help protect us and keep us free.
On Monday 11/6 the NH Audubon Society will visit us with their Wings of the Night Presentation. If your child does not attend on Mondays, please remember that you are welcome to bring them in. We just ask that you stay with them throughout the hour long presentation. It will be from 9:30-10:30am and will take place in the Dining Hall.
Our Lending Library program will start for our 4 year old students during the week of November 12. During this week the children will be concentrating on our Author of the month Laura Numeroff.
During the month, the children will all be working hard on making hats and centerpieces for our big Thanksgiving Feasts. These will take place on November 20 and 21. The schedule for each classes celebration day is listed on page 2 of the newsletter. Sign ups were out during Open House to bring food items. If you did not get a chance to sign up for anything, feel free to bring something in. You can check with your child’s teacher on what we may need.
Thank you to everyone who was able to participate in our Mixedbag Design fundraiser. If you did not send your order in yet, it is not too late. Just send them in next Monday or Tuesday and we will make sure to include them in the order.
Two community service projects will be going on during the months of November and December. During November we will be collecting food items for the Nashua Soup Kitchen, which will be delivered before Thanksgiving. Also in November and December we will be collecting gift cards for the children at the Nashua Children’s Home. You can either bring items in or just put them in your child’s schoolbag. We are teaching the children how to help those in need in our community. Thank you so very much in advance for helping us with these projects.
Well I guess that’s it for now. We are enjoying your children so very much and as always thank you for sharing them with us.
Warm regards,
Chris
